Thank you for your interest in sharing your experience of the Human-Animal Bond and Companion Animal loss for my upcoming book, And I Love You Still: A Thoughtful Guide for Healing the Loss of a Pet. Below is information on criteria and consideration for inclusion:
I am looking for bereaved pet owners who are interested in participating in a 1-1.5-hour semi-structured interview relevant to a specific chapter/section of my book. The information shared by you will be used to provide additional “real life” examples of a particular theme/topic and serve to illustrate various theoretical and clinical constructs.
Interviews are preferred to be conducted face to face, however, on-line interviews are an option.
To be considered for participation you will need to have experienced the death of a Companion Animal within the last 10 years.
Companion Animal for purposes of this objective is defined as a dog, cat or horse.
Interested participants will be asked to fill out a Preliminary Pet Loss Experience Form to assess if your experience meets the criteria for the thematic index outline of my book.
You, as the participant, can decide how much or how little anonymity you would like at the time of publication. No identifying information will ever be published without your written permission.
There is no financial or monetary compensation for your time or publication of your experience, however, you will be provided 2 free copies of my book and a discount on future purchases.
Participants will be asked to sign a release and permission to print form prior to publication.
Interested parties are invited to contact me via PM or at the number/email listed below to discuss in further detail. Thank you again for your interest!
